Biography

The band was founded in December 2005 when high school friends Charlie Varela (Vocals), Jesus Mora (Guitar) and Javier Murillo (Bass) began with two other members on guitar and drums to compose alternative music.

Early in 2006 the original drummer decided to leave the band, for that reason the band joins Kevin Murillo as the new and current drummer of the band.

In mid 2006 the band decided to integrate a keyboarder to find a more original sound on the national scene, later in the same year the second guitarist decided to leave the band for personal reasons.

In 2008, the keyboarder decided to leave the band also for personal reasons.

Originally the band was formed as an alternative music project, but with time the members began composing something away of the alternative scene of the country, so later in 2008 the members of TEOD decided to give the band a Darker Sound, Melodic, Gloomy and Powerful with reference of the musical mainstream of Gothic Metal Music that comes from Northern Europe at the end of 80's and early 90..s,

That's when the band took the name of "The Eyes of Desolation" (previously the band had two other names), with the need of keyboards in the band's musical composition Charlie Varela decides to take the role of Keyboarder besides of his role as Singer and Songwriter of the band.

Since then, Charlie, Chus, Javier and Kevin; current members of TEOD have been working hard to get established with strength into the musical scene of Costa Rica, giving to those who attend to their concerts a great show with great presence and the energy of the band on stage.

Currently the band is working on the preproduction of their first studio album: SONGS FOR DESOLATED HEARTS
